The U.S. Embassy in Yaounde, Cameroon, is inviting proposals for community projects through the Ambassador's Special Self-Help Program. This initiative aims to enhance people’s living conditions across all ten regions of Cameroon. Eligible projects can focus on various areas, including social services (education, health, vocational training, and local development), water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), income-generating activities, and environmental and agricultural initiatives.
The program is specifically open to locally registered Community Based Organizations (CBOs), associations, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that have at least two years of operational experience in Cameroon. However, organizations that have received funding from the Self-Help Fund in the past two years are not eligible to apply this year.
